Mixed feelings about the stay
We were there for a bday bash, and it was kinda disappointing. The room was decent, but they told us we had to leave by 2:30. Our table didn't even have a white cloth like others! Food was pretty lukewarm, and some stuff was missing. The lounge area was nice, but the whole meal let us down. Not sure I'd go back.

This cheap hotel is equal to 3 stars. All the staff members are welcoming and attentive. The location is remote, near to shop, restaurant and the centre. And it's by River Yare.

Consider upgrading to the VIP suite for an expansive room with luxury amenities and a serene view. It's worth the extra cost for a special occasion.

Restaurant was very good and excellent value.
Fold up bed in family room was a joke. My wife and I ended up sharing a single bed

This was a real discovery! Excellent location just off the a47 about 3 miles nw of the city centre. An attractive low-rise almost new building, with spacious well-fitted and equipped rooms (E.G. king-size bed, an 8ft desk, lots of power points and good "accessible" bathroom for the disabled). Really good breakfasts all of fresh ingredients, and an excellent carvery on the night we stayed in the hotel. And all this for much less than most bed and breakfasts on the three night/prepay tarrif.

It is a convenient hotel for using as a base to travel outside of Norwich as it has a large free carpark and is easily accessible to the major routes out of Norwich. (You wouldn't want a car at a city hotel!) Access to the city is also convenient as there is a good bus service from a nearby bus stop.
The hotel is only on 2 floors but it would be really nice if it had a lift, at least to take luggage up!
